Working in Downtown Toronto, I was exposed to the homeless community on a weekly basis. The homeless community was in a fragile state and was further exacerbated by COVIID-19. I knew the vaccine was going to be approved in Canada soon and wondered how to best help educate and ensure everyone had equal healthcare access. I reached out to Carlos and we began figuring out how we can organize a group of people to help us on our journey.

After moving to the beautiful city of Toronto for medical school, I quickly realized that homelessness was a serious issue. The poverty many of these people find themselves embedded in is further compounded by a lack of access and education regarding useful resources. Michael and I were moved by stories we heard of COVID-19’s devastating effects in this population and decided to provide a helping hand in encouraging vaccination.
